For property managers, these regulations include:Rules addressing drinking water standards for PFAS. These regulations may not be enforced until 2023. These regulations are effective on a national level, in addition to any current state regulations already in place.New toxicity standards will establish healthy levels of PFAS and other chemicals as well as outline specific standards for assessment.For business owners acquiring new properties, we recommend including PFAS assessment as a part of any due diligence activities.

Energy Grants

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act includes additional incentives for commercial energy audits and conservation efforts. The Act designates funds to states that can be used to support energy auditing. There is also money included to train technicians on new installation and maintenance techniques to support new energy efficiency technologies including renewable energy production and energy monitoring systems.
